Junius
Described by Rolling Stone as “a perfect hybrid of Neurosis and the Smiths.” The band, formed in 2003, has previously released material on Radar Recordings and The Mylene Sheath, among others. JUNIUS has an extensive touring history in North America and Europe, and has shared stages with the likes of Mastodon, Bad Religion, Valient Thorr, Howl, Orbs, Rosetta, Tombs, God Is An Astronaut, Irepress and many others. The band has become a staple at most modern rock and metal festivals with multiple appearances at SXSW. Most recently the band has been on the road supporting Enslaved across the US in preparation for their first Prosthetic Records release “Reports From The Threshold of Death” coming out October 25th. Following its release the band is looking to be out the rest of the year and tour straight into 2012. Praised by fans and critics alike, Junius is poised to take the post metal and rock world by storm.

Sannhet
A litany of genre titles can be thrown at Sannhet but for short this Brooklyn based band can be described as a uniquely welcoming crushing sonic wall that fits neatly into a 3 minute and 20 second package without loosing its epic nature.

Sannhet was started in 2007 by Christopher Todd and John Refano as an experimental recording project, Sannhet recorded their EP “Different Words / Different Meanings” during 2007 and self-released the album in early 2008. Originally created in bedrooms between Brooklyn and Philadelphia, Sannhet decided to recreate the recordings in a live setting during late 2008.

In 2010, after a brief hiatus, Sannhet regrouped, evolving from the strong electronic/laptop influence of their early material into a more raw, organic two-piece guitar and drums live band relying heavily upon looper pedals, field recordings and tube amplification to create a fierce wall of droning, heavy, noisy, epic “instru-metal”.

In mid 2011, Sannhet recorded and released a three song self titled EP showcasing new material. The following Fall, Sannhet added AJ Annunziata on bass (formerly of the CT based hardcore band Fight Night.

Burrows
Based out of Wallingford, Connecticut; Burrows was formed in the Winter of 2010 by guitarists Jason Kelly, Kevin O’Sullivan, bassist/vocalist Matt Streit and drummer Nick Viccione. Together, the group drew upon common interest in heavy sludge metal and effects-laden ambience to breeze through the construction of a four song demo, entitled “Faces in the Hillside.” The effort was recorded at Up Recording Studio in Seymour Connecticut in early Summer 2011. Shortly after recording, Kevin moved to Texas leaving Jason, Matt and Nick to make the choice of continuing on as a three piece act where they stand currently.

Energetic and fun to listen to, Burrows music is a diverse landscape with influences ranging from heavy rock, akin to Crowbar, Baroness, and Akimbo while also drifting down an experimental path comparable to Neurosis and Jesu.
